Welcome to mcb3k.com

I'm a software engineer who enjoys linux, python, cooking, and snapping the occasional photo. I am an avid gamer and can often be found volunteering at or attending various technology conferences like BSidesNOVA, HOPE, or MAGFest. Learning about new technology and its adaptations through creative development has been a longtime passion of mine.

I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to computers at a young age and it continued to influence my academic interests and hobbies ever since. Through high school I was an avid programmer and creator using whatever second-hand tools I had at my disposal. These experiences later informed my decision to pursue computer science at a college level. Of the variety of courses I became introduced to during my tenure there, Robotics, Programming Languages, Database, and Computer Graphics and UX still resonated a particular interest for me. I believe in always trying to deliver my best through persistence, thoughtfulness, and armed with a broad understanding of the tools and resources available to me.

I have also been known to write about things that interest me.
